Cycling Pembrokeshire

Cycling in Pembrokeshire gives you an opportunity to take in different landscapes from mountains to coast, different architecture, from castles to craft shops with plenty of pitstops in the villages along the way. Fishguard is on the Celtic Trail and part of the National Cycle network.

The main well known cycle trails are the Brunel Trail, The Tramway and of course the Celtic Trail.

The Brunel Trail  follows Brunel's Great Western Railway line to Neyland and the marina, starting from the centre of Haverfordwest alongside Merlin's Brook and through Boltonhill Woods. Click here for more information.

The Tramway, is a picturesque route with spectacular views from Stepaside to Saundersfoot following the route of the old Saundersfoot Railway through a wooded river valley and then along the sea front to the harbour. Click here for more information.

The Celtic Trail stretches from the Severn Bridge to the ferry at Pembroke Dock and on up to Fishguard and the ferry terminal at Goodwick Harbour. You could cycle the whole trail or do sections of it. Click here for more information.

If you wanted to cycle on the coastal path, the route between Bosherston and Stack Rocks includes some of the best views in the county. The route takes you from the Green Bridge to St Govan's Head along a spectacular stretch of coast, and then on to Bosherston. Once at Bosherton, you could take time to walk around their famous Lilly Pond. Click here for more information.
